Hi had my car for nearly two years, as the title of this topic mentions, I'm not really sure of my cars background other than it's had one lady owner, who I believe had vw put a full gti interior, gti leather steering wheel, gti gear knob, 18 inch monza wheels, totally colour coded and kitted up as a gti, lowered with eibach suspension, de-cat with a full milltek system, so looks 100% gti, but I put diesel in it and it's badged up as a GTD (fairly sure that vw didn't make such a car in mk5). My last car was a 140 passat and it's loads quicker than that, in fact it keeps up with focus st's, so not sure what it is ?? Anyone know of GTD's in mk5 ??

Welcome Jogon. If this is not a piss take and you are serious, then just look at the log book that you have had for the last 2 years. That will tell you exactly what it is. :happy2:

Well this says it is a golf 2.0 TDI sport
54 plate in blue

How much roadtax do you pay?
-
What's the reg buddy? Did they put the 170 engine in the MK5? Maybe they mapped it too?
-
Wouldn't the V5 tell you the factory power of the car? Likely to be 140 I think...

Thanks for info...

I like that a lot buddy, especially the fact that they have half colour coded the rear bumper. Usually dealer efforts are rocky horrors but this one looks spot on!

Tar, it looks like that and does over 50 to the gallon, with group 12 insurance, and £125 tax, and is quick enough to keep up with most hot hatch's.. Its great...

They didn't make a 170 until 2006 (facelift GTs)
