Title: Standard Battery Weight?

Anyone know how much a standard GTI battery weighs?

Also am I correct in thinking the cable from the positive terminal is linked to the fuse box and the starter motor directly?

From memory IIRC it is 19.5kg :smiley:

I had a very quick look, a S5 008 which Bosch claim to be compatible (NOT ME) weighs 17.7kg

Depends on the capacity. Mine has 72 Ah, some have less.
I know two A3 2.0 TFSI with ''only'' 60 Ah batteries.

Sorry, I was wrong, my battery has 70 Ah as well.
