Convoyed down to UDs with a couple of mates, and at the M6 toll we set off together in a spirited fashion (sticking to speed limits of course :innocent:), anyway he has an Octy II VRS, and said my exhaust was making a right racket, like it was blowing (Im confident thats not the case). I've heard of people removing the resonator before, and wondered if the previous owner had done so?
but anyway got any ideas? I'll be posting a drive by later.

look underneath to see if all the boxes are there, for your info though i find my ed30 quite noisy compared to my old car, i even had the dealers check it as i thought it was a bit rough, apparently its VW's version of sporty lol
-
Thanks Blue!
Ill have a look and report back.

I havent heard anything untoward (blowing etc), but my mates said it sounded terrible, I put it under similar load last night in the attached video, but it seems ok? :scared:

simple check to do is cover the ends of the exhaust up with your hands with something over them and listen for anything that sounds like blowing or jack the car up and look on the exhaust for any black soot like marks on it as that will be the sighn u have a prob

Hi Hafiz. :happy2:
What he means is. if the exhaust has a hole in it somewhere then you may be able to see soot marks where the hole is similar to the soot that you see at the tips.
If you have any other questions dont be afraid to post them up in the Mk 5 general section, you will get a lot more answers there.

I shouldn't but :signLOL:
The soot marks show where the leak is.
