Hi Guys,
I'm looking at a 08 GTI at a dealers, 22000mls, it has a full service history, but the last service its 3rd was done at a Vauxhall dealership.
Would this be perceived to lower its value now or in the future? The sales guy reckons it won't affect future warranty etc.
Thanks,
Paul

I imagine if it was carried out using genuine VW parts and trained technicians it shouldnt matter. Was it a VW/Vauxhall franchise?
Just bear in mind the next service is the biggie - 4 year is Cambelt + water pump and major service. Can run into £700+ if you get it mot'd at the same time.
I wouldnt hurt to try and get money off, although if the service was carried out at the correct interval/mileage you might struggle?
Just my humble opinion.

Often defects outside or warranty are considered by VW on a goodwill basis and a full VWSH does go some way towards 'oiling the weheels' in that instance.
