Title: Manual Rear Windows Stuck!!!!

Can anyone help a friend of mine with this problem, its an 5door 05 1.9 Soot chucker with ''manual rear windows'' which wont roll down....its as if they are stuck....both sides as well  :surprised:
Ive tried releasing the rubber but that doesnt seem to be the problem at all....the window winding handle on both sides are solid!!!!

Am i missing something?

any help is greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

Is there a small button on the drivers door pressed down (at the window switches)? Not sure if there was an option that locks the back windows...stops children chucking macd wrappers out.....(think it was on my a6) but have a 3 door gti now.

Yup, my 5 door has that rear window "lock" button on the driver's door.

He won't have that button. His friend has manual rear windows, the roller type. OP that does sound odd that they've both done that.
