Hey
My names Jason and I am the proud owner of an 08 Plate Reflex edition30 bought from VW of Mansfield!
Looking forward to getting to know some of my fellow VW owners.
I have come from an EP3 TypeR and it is definitely an upgrade.
Thanks guys for a great forum! They really are invaluable!

Welcome. Great bunch of people down at Mansfield VW, mine went in for a bit of warranty work on a few occasions and they've always been pretty courteous.
Enjoy it :driver:

How have you found the move from a Type R to the Gti?

How have you found the move from a Type R to the Gti?
I can answer mate as an x owner of a s2000.
Power everywhere, turbo rules and of course 5doors and plenty of room for the family.
On the other side, rwd is and will always be awesome and that's the basic difference.

Anyway to answer the typeR question....Straightline power the ED30 is much better hard getting used to the turbo as compared to Vtec.
Also my typeR had full Coilovers fitted with ARBs and a fast road geometry so handled a lot better...but I will address that issue. The TypeR was to harsh though and want to maintain a more standard ride in the golf with just Eibachs and ARBs etc!
Anyway will get some pictures up soon!
