For two reasons- one I always find new scratches on it, the last one was someone scratching their initials on the car and secondly people give the car more attention when its nice and shiny and ask I work in a rough area the less attention it draws the better. Anyone else have these thoughts? Also after reading some of the recent posts on the poor guys who have had their cars vandalised this makes me even more worried. Just wish people would leave our flippin cars alone

Mate.
In a recent thread I posted a lot of the good advice is to not let the b4stards grind you down..Crack on and post a pic of your effort.

I always wince when I detail for this reason - I find either new marks, or see the old ones again. Henfe why at some point I want to give the car a full respray.

I know what you mean, you notice more when you are so close to your car. I keep telling myself that although i know where some of the imperfections are joe bloggs in the street will never see them. :P
Still peeves me off though........

I know the feeling, this is why I hate washing my car... I'm gonna get a full detail done soon to see what that gets rid of but I reckon a respray is on the cards but not until I get a garage to keep it in

When my car came back from the bodyshop, I put 300 miles on it just to get it dirty. Was fun though!

Did you try to buff it off dry? Leaving a damp cloth on bird mess for a while to soften it always makes life easier and is safer too.

I found a REALLY bad new scratch / dent whilst washing yesterday, its on the door and roof. Someone has obviously done it getting in or out of the passenger seat. Shame they didn't have the balls to tell me.
