Title: 16" GT TDI Alloys - Will They Fit?
Post by: Betty02 on May 13, 2011, 10:42:23 am
Will the above alloys fit a standard GTi? Just I can get my hands on some to use for a week whilst I send my Omanyts off and await delivery of my Monza 2's. Also gf's 1.4 had some standard 15's on would these fit (she has my old 17" monza's) like i said just need a set for a week so want to make sure they fit before I agree to borrow them.

Cheers

think the 16" wheels aren't big enough to clear the front calipers

16 inch rims are big enough for a standard GTI. I used GTI brakes with 16inch Mugello rims and they fit just fine (some photos are in my car thread if you want)
15 inch are NOT big enough to clear the GTI front brakes.

As above, 16" steel rims or alloys will fit. 15" won't clear the brakes properly.

Si just to confirm the 16's will be fine  :happy2:

Just lent my old GT TDI 16's to my mate with a GTI while his wheels go off for a refurb.

I'm glad people say 16" will fit as I just bought a set for use in the winter! The first reply worried me a bit
