Title: How to get full 7 digit post codes???

Hi All
New car with RNS 510C
SW 2720 and ver 7074 maps.
How do I activate the full post code feature???

Firstly, you need to upgrade the firmware on your unit to version 2760. See Carl's post here http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,23779.0.html (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,23779.0.html) It's not as scary as it sounds but be aware that there is a small chance of permanently wrecking your unit!

And then you need to get at least version 7.0 of the maps, which it sounds like you might have - tho I'm not exactly sure of the version numbering of the maps - so you might be in luck with just doing the FW upgrade.

Had my fingers crossed that a fw update wasn't required, just in case.

Also the stealers didn't give me the original DVD  :confused:  just in case the fw deleted the maps.

2720 is fine for 7 digit postcode

Minimum is 2680

Its your maps that are limiting it - you need to be on 7388 instead of 7074  :happy2:

Doesn't 7.3x maps require 38xx fw. ???

Not an expert, just spent half of yesterday reading & reading.

Then getting really confused. Lol

Having a genuine unit as long as you write the firmware DVD in the right way you should have no issue doing a firmware update.

Garage gave me a new sealed map DVD with 7333 maps.

Now got full post code search. Very happy.   :smiley:

Did think it would update the firmware.

7333 maps work find with full post code search as well. Im running 2760 and 7333.
