Title: Removing handbrake leather grip
Post by: Scousus maximus on May 17, 2011, 09:34:22 pm
Has anybody managed to remove the leather grip part of the handbrake cover? It looks like it's got a locking plastic ring inside but doesn't look like it'll come out without being mangled. I'm planning to wrap it in a new colour leather so if anybody has any tips,,,Any help much appreciated.
Regards,
John

there's a small tap underneath, just pull forwards and i'll come loose. My wife did it while driving at a manouvre course

Thanks for that mate but it's the grip part that I'm trying to separate from the cover. I've got the plastic  cover off but want to now get the leather off, ideally in one piece!
