Hi
Anyone know of a good VW specialist or mechanic in Berkshire? I'm in Windsor and have 3 VW's now so really need to find someone who knows what they're doing and reasonable. Took my girlfriends Polo GTi to have an engine fault cleared and a new HT lead the other day... £280!!!!! Please help if you know of anyone!!??
Cheers Guys!!

I work as a VW specialist mechanic in my spare time, and im in Poole if thats any use to you :happy2:

Thanks mate, I guess Poole isn't too far. I need someone to do the obvious servicing etc on my Mk5 Dsg and my girlfriends Polo GTi 6n2 but I also have her old Polo 1.4 16v 6n which is in need of sorting so I can sell it. I just wondered if there was someone on my doorstep that I didn't know about?

Fair play mate. I used to have a Polo GTI 6n2 (still do, just dont drive it) and amusingly I service most Polo GTIs in and around Poole/Bournemouth/Southampton
Let me know in any case if you need anything done

Thanks mate, much appreciated!! :happy2:

Hi,
im in Windsor aswell, used fontain in Ivor before, very good VW Audi group independant specialists, with quite a low labour rate. They have a good website, have a look.
-
Nice one, thanks Paul I'll have a look now. I used Autopool in Iver before and they were extortionate!!

Very impressed with Sean at VAG Technik in Henley: http://www.henley-vw.co.uk/
See my previous post for my (positive) experience of getting a re-map done there.

I use RD Garage Services in Chertsey which won't be too far at all for you. The guy that owns/runs it is a fully qualified VW technician and is very reasonable, has matched or bettered all quotes I have given him and would recommend him to anyone, especially if you have a VW due to his experience. To steal the spiel from his website:
RD Garage Services was created by Richard Duncan, a fully qualified Volkswagen technician. With several years experience in both motorsport and the VW Audi Group, he has acquired a broad knowledge and experience of all car types. He built and maintained Subaru Group N and World Rally Cars; one of which won the Irish Tarmac Championship twice. He was also a trained Luxury Specialist at VW, which has given him a extensive knowledge of VW Audi Group vehicles.
Highly recommended! :happy2:
