help info and ideas needed,i recently got a massive flat spot at around 2500 rpm and only when accelerating in 4th or top gear,vagcom missfire detacted,changed coil packs,no change,checked correct spark plugs fitted 10,000 ago by vw ok,today i have bourght a maf sensor and fitted it huge cost,result it has improved a lot but there is still hesitating under full throttle in 4th 5th and 6th any ideas as i am stumped with this 1 :confused:

I would do some live logging with vcds of your actual vs requested fuel rail pressure.

^^^ 2nd that, low fuel pressures. What stage map are you running if any?

Could it be your high pressure fuel pump? Im sure someone on here with much more knowledge than me will be on soon.
Is your car mapped/modded? Mileage? Age?
Probably need a bit more info

thanks for replys so far,its an 06 plate gti 67,000 full history,fitting the new maf has certainly improved it and most people wouldnt probably no owt was wrong,but haveing had 2 cupra Rs and half a dozen audis and my last 2 cars were a3 sline 170 tdi,and a remamped ibiza cupra deisel,this is my first petrol golf gti,and the car is standard for now anyway,lots of plans in mind but just want to make sure its running rite

ok just got back from a trip to the new forest i did 870 miles and the engine didnt miss a beat,infact it seems a lot better now i have fitted a new maf returned a healthy 38.5 mpg on many occaisons puzzleling to say the least :confused:

38 mpg - blimey, mine struggles to get 25 :drinking:
