I have somehow managed to inherit an Edition 30 rear bumper and I'm toying with the idea of fitting it to my car once sprayed red. The only problem is the bumper has reversing sensor sockets but my car doesn't.
So the question is do you think the bumper can be filled before its painted? Or should I just fit reversing sensors?
-
Do you want reversing sensors? You could always fit it and just not bother wiring them in!
-
If there an easy fit i would have them, another option on the list.
-
Hate how reversing sensors spoil the look of a bumper.
You should have no problem getting a bodyshop to fill in the holes before painting.

The sensors are in the top half which is the same as the normal GTI.
The bottom half around the exhaust tips is removable so if you don't want the sensors surely you just change that part? That's the bit of the ed30 rear we all want.
Btw if you don't have the sensors in the inherited bumper and just the holes you'll need to pay circa £65 each for them.

For some reason I was under the impression that you couldn't split the GTi rear bumper
I can't believe this didn't occur to me - thanks given!
I love what you have done by painting the bottom section black. Do you have a bigger picture?
