Title: burning plastic smell

hi im new to this site. and need some help, i have got a 2005 gti 43000 miles when it gets hot i can smell burning i have had a look and if your looking into engine bay there are 2 pipes just above manifold bout 2 inch wide it looks like thers a leak and the fluid is dripping . these 2 pipes go in to the car any help ?
