Title: Ciggy lighter problem

Thought I'd post up here and try and help as a friend as he's getting no where with this one.

Basically the ciggy lighter in his mk5 gt is still working when he charges his phone but the light isn't coming on.

I thought it was maybe a fuse problem.  Anyone got any thoughts?

If the phone is charging then the socket is working. 

Check it with another bit of kit eg sat nav.

What light are you referring to?
