Sorry about my lack of knowledge everyone but I've had a real good search but cannot make out what this is and what its does . . . . . as the title says I've been getting a ticking noise which I'm pretty sure is coming from it as I can feel the pipe on the top pulsing when it ticks. Now I'm not saying its an air lock but thats the sort of noise and feel that its giving off, any help is appreciated guys.
thanks

Perfectly normal... thats the charcoal canister!
-
Ahhhh ok , what does it acctually do ? Should I be worried that it's a very loud ticking and intermitant ? Thanks
-
Something to do with fuel vapour and the environment... not 100% sure! I think its normal that they click, but not sure why the make that noise.
-
Yeah that would make sense because when I took it off I got a strong smell of petrol. I don't know wether the canister is supposed to fill but I does feel pretty full up ???
-
As far as i'm aware its not on the service schedule so it should be ok as it is!

Appears to be all sorted now there's a tiny valve In the larger bit coming off of the canister that's I think was catching, thanks for the help Rich :happy2:

The noise is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. The canister will feel fairly heavy as its full of carbon/charcoal stuff that will neutralise the fuel vapours, much like a gas mask does.
