Is this that rapture thing?

Personally I think we're okay for a couple of thousand years.

Was that serious or a joke?

I think we will be ok personally until we kill this Earth and its ability to sustain life. Or the sun explodes. Or a big meteor wipes us out.

This is hilarious.

7 BC - The year Jesus was born.

What, Jesus was born 7 years before The Jesus Christ was born? This doesnt add up.

And the fact that they still believe the Earth was created 11000 BC. Bonkers.

I think they mean that JC was born 7 years before the current accepted date.

The other thing to remember is that when looking at historical timelines, there's no such thing as 0BC! It goes from 1BC to 1AD!

Love a good fairy tale, but preferably one that wasnt written 1500 years ago.

I believe there was a person called Jesus. Just a very clever con man in a time when people were too thick to know better. Same for all religions.

I live my life to my own set of beliefs. I know whats wrong and right without having a manual to refer to.

No idea about raptures but I honestly don't think mankind is going to manage to sustain itself. I reckon we'll last no longer than about another 2000 years or so. Unless of course there's a catastrophe that dramatically lowers the human population to maybe 1% and destroys all technology. We might have a chance then.

I'm no religious catholic but what I find funny nowadays is that is acceptable to laugh at and take the piss out of the bible, but if anyone were to do the same to other religious books there would be mass outrage! Just my 2p!

And I agree with above! Mankind will eventually kill itself off! How can we continue to take natural resources out of the earth without major longterm damage? Something has to give somewhere!

The next one is the aztec maya calander only goes up to 21 December 2012 and after that the world and all creation will end or mankind will evolve or something

I always thought the mayan calendar would just reset to zero. I imagine it'd be the same as if we had a calendar that only went up to 999 and instead of going 1000, it'd just reset to 0. You can call the millenium the same too. The same kind of huff and puff too, I'd imagine.
