There's midlands detailing who are based in west brom, and I've used before. Alternatively there's Gaz from detailmyride who's based in Solihull.

Depends on how much work needs doing. £250-500 imo, depending on costs. Remember, most of that is labour.

When I 'launch' I'll be doing 1 day enhancements for about £125 and full correction details (over 2 days) for about £250.

I've done about 40 RenaultSport's before doing any VAG's and you can get them 95% sorted in a 10 hour day or so, but these VAG's definitely need a couple of days to get 'perfect', given how much harder the paint can be, which means a cutting and refining stage.

£250 sounds like a good price to me Russ.  Let me know when you 'launch' as I'm fed up of the sunlight showing how bad my paintwork is at the mo!

Well I'm doing it now, and have been for 2 years or so, I just don't have an identity or online presence as such yet, plus sites like this obviously operate a traders scheme, so would rather do things properly and not tread on any toes.

Where abouts are you?

Russ

Sunny Coventry, but willing to travel for a decent job.  Live in a flat at the mo, so washing it myself is a ball-ache (there's only so many times I'm willing to go up and down the stairs with buckets of water), hence my local roadside carwashers have been doing the job for me.  Tbh they're not half bad, it was the numpty who had the car before me washed it with stones instead of suds!

Not so far then :)

Have you looked into Optimum No Rinse as a solution - you only need one bucket of water

Have a watch of this vid:

There's a huge thread over on Detailing World discussing this.  It's generally safe as long as you're relatively cautious with it, but it'd be a good solution for you, after having your car corrected.

Alternatively use the local supermarket/petrol station manual jet wash but bring and use your own shampoo, bucket and mitt.
