Stage 2 on an ED30 is somewhat superb, though I wouldnt know anything about that  :P

Stage 2 realistically needs an uprated clutch due to the extra torque.

To be honest 1 and 2 stages still have simular torque alex, but 2 goes and holds mor towards top revs.

On a Manual, i would budget for a replacement clutch sooner or later...

I'm stage 1 and i need an uprated clutch already!!!!

but still that opens up S2 and S2+  :signLOL:

Haha I don't know what you're implying saint.. :booty:

I'm very impressed with stage1, but just get that feeling it's being restricted higher up the rev range... But after further cost of exhaust, fitting and another bump of insurance, I'm reckoning if it's worth it and if a clutch is required too, then may concentrate on other parts of the car...

After how many miles? And how many with stage1?

car has done 17k miles...and less than 1k with the remap...on clutch saving settings!

but it's the way i drive i think. can't help riding the wave of torque and just booting it!

I have stage 2 and I will be fitting better brakes, having had M cars with AP brake conversion I wouldn't be without big stoppers in a high performance car

Yeah the standard stoppers on my e46 M3 Individual weren't great... Hmmm I've not liked the GTi brakes since having the car compared to the brakes on my old Mk5 R32, why VW didn't give the Ed30 the R32 brakes as standard I'll never know...

if you have a manual stay stg 1 until you get a uprated clutch and diff in at same time.

then you can add the power mods gradually - i did not heed this advice as parts for stg 2+ came up - clutch lasted less than 2 weeks

My Stage 2+ ED30 stops well on R32 brakes. Sure, it COULD be better, but its ok.
