Title: Hello
Post by: hammyhammer on March 13, 2009, 01:44:35 pm
Quick one to say hello have been lurking for a while thought it was time to say hi.

I have an 08 Blue Graphite GTi with the Monza II wheels.

Have been recently converted into detailing after believe all the years using AG and a sponge to clean my car was the best way.

Recent purchse is some PB wheel sealant for the car to try and stop the dreaded white worm.  Have noticed some surface scratchs's to the front of the wheels from my Autoglym brush will SRP remove this?  (brush and wheel cleaner inchape gave me have been retired now)

defiently need to post some pic's.  Will do this in the next week or so.

No worries on the wheels.  I am only a a newbie to the detailing side mainly concentrating on correct cleaning procedure to help keep her mint condition.

Hopefully someone else has had a similar issue and can help advise

welcome along mate here matey.

i think i might have been labelled as one of those sado's! haha!

anyways, with regards to the scratches...

..SRP will help mask some of the scratches but it will only do so much.

try it though then add 2-3 layers of poorboys wheel sealant! ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  sorry for slow response have been on holiday.

JPC thanks for the tip have SRP'd and 2 coated the outside of the wheels and it has made a major difference.  Just need the sun to come out now to see the full effect
