Title: Smoke on start up

seems like white smoke on start up. only lasts a few seconds, No coolant loss or massive oil use (std for a mk5 ) im starting to think start of turbo seals anybody got any other ideas?

I see the is post a lot on other forums. It will just be steam matey, don't worry about it - unless it starts drinking coolant :driver:

Don't think it's condensation. Been told by a garage possibly a blocked breather

From cold start get by the exhaust and smell the smoke or get someone to who can determin the difference between, fuel, coolant oil or just condensation, note you will get a richer fuel smell anyway on a cold start.

White smoke = coolant/steam
Blue smoke = oil
Black/grey = fuel

Blue smoke on startup is often valve stem oil seals,
