Anyone else using this as an LSP yet? Ive got Russ coming to machine polish the car on Saturday, and generally i quite like Dodo Juice products.
I just got rid of my Blue Velvet, which i used on the Gordini. I was happy with the finish, but the wax didnt seem to last very long and the protection soon wore off.
Russ suggested i try the SN Hybrid, which is a wax/sealant mix and is supposed to offer protection for up to 4-6 months. So he is going to use that on the car, and i have bought a pot to top up the protection with.
Just keen to hear other peoples opinions. Not really after "Use this instead" or "I use this, dont go near my car with DJ" comments. Just anyone that has generally had experience of it and what they think. :happy2:

I guess the problem is that nobody has owned it for 4-6 months yet, but early tests suggest its holding up incredibly well after 2-3 months.
The other main point I see of this over normal SN, is that it's a LOT nicer to work with. SN is very dry and sometimes can be a pain to spread and suffers horribly from 'gassing' or sweating. I've never been amazed by its durability either.
They seem to have got it just right with SNH though, it's a lovely wax to use. The only other wax I'd go for over it would be something like Zymol Glasur, but then you're looking at the £100 mark...

Cheers Russ. To be honest, id be happy with a couple of weeks protection, as the car gets washed and topped up very regularly.
I was surprised when i got the pot that it smells and has the appearance of shoe polish.
I havent seen any threads about it on DW.

Go for it. Best wax I have ever used!!!!
Got quite a combination on my 3week old CW GTI.
3 layers of AutoBalm topped up with 2 Layers of SNH.
The depth is simply amazing for a flat white pain.

Ive been tempted to give this a go myself but have somewhat been put off by my experiences with the normal SN wax and all things Dodo Supernatural by that matter. But it does seem to be getting good reviews over on DW and part of me wants to give it a go and it does seem to be priced well :happy2:
Im looking forward to reading you views on it after you have used it :happy2:

I've had problems with Supernatural gassing too. Really put me off.

The hybrid is nothing like the "over priced" SN. much easier to use and IMHO a better result.
SN is OK if you get it right. Less is more and the wait for it to cure.

Can't recommend the AutoBalm enough. Especially if you are getting a machine polish.
With that prep the AutoBalm will go on perfectly and protect the car for ages. Even longer with the SNH top coats.
Have a quick readup on the AutoBalm. Doubt you will be disappointed with the performance. It's just not a "fashion" brand at the moment.
If you do use the AutoBalm. Less really is more. Can't believe how little you use. And a good tip I found was wipe over with a damp microfiber when cured then buff up with a clean microfiber.

SN V1 (when it first came out in wooden pot only) was a SUPERB wax.
They haven't been able to get it right since moving to the newer V2 recipe (when it went into plastic pot too), it's dry, brittle, sometimes a pig to spread, and nearly always gasses afterwards, which has put me off it massively on anything but white cars.
Hybrid is MUCH improved. I did my black bonnet yesterday in the blazing heat and it removed after 30 mins with absolute ease. It's also a bit more 'buttery' too, so is much nicer to spread and apply.
For anyone put off, give it a try.... much better!
My problem is I love CG 50/50 too much, so that will remain my main wax used on details, apart from when somebody requests something specific (such as Luke did here). 50/50 isn't very durable though...
I've used Menzerna Powerlock on my own car, which is looking pretty good this morning, but I really think this metallic black needs a wax to get the best out of it, so I'll be putting a layer of Zymol Glasur on it later this evening

Russ, put some pics up of the Glasur. Would love to know how you find it. Debating about buying a pot.

Used some today and wasn't overly impressed. Went on ok but was a pig to get off!! Going to reserve judgment as it was very warm. Saying that, went with standard supernatural for the second coat and that was a dream to use!

But Russ, which do you prefer? Hybrid or powerlock?

Powerlock for me without a doubt. After spending some time with Hybrid, I've dropped it from my collection.
My fave overall wax now is Chemical Guys 50/50 at £40 and RaceGlaze 55. Sealant wise I'm sticking with Wolf's Body Wrap and Menz Powerlock.
R222 is nice too (as you will know!) but I sold mine to Paul and Mart, good to see its being utilised!

Yup. Midlands detailing used some R222/P21s and it looks lovely. One of my fellow DWers has sent me his half-used pot for free so I could top it up. Do you know the lads from midlands detailing then?

Yeah I've helped them on a couple of cars in the past and done some work with Gaz at Detail My Ride too.
Paul is always buying bits and pieces off me, which reminds me, I owe him a tenner!

Russ' fault i bought the hybrid lol. If he had told me he had never used it, id have waited to see what he thought first. :P Going to swap to power lock instead.
