Title: Help pls - Pipercross Air Filter Dirt Retention Additive - how to use???
Post by: nc35 on June 04, 2011, 11:18:52 am
Hi All
Pipercross filter arrived this morning. In the box was a small bottle of Air Filter Dirt Retention Additive but no instructions.

Just wondering what to do before I get it wrong.

Thanking you all in anticipation.

It's to re-oil the filter after you clean it.

I would assume that it has come from the manufacturer pre-oiled.

Dunno - no instructions :-(

Googled some say apply to the black "foam" other say all over...   Don't want to get it wrong and bugger up the MAF.

Spray it lightly onto the intake air side of the filter, not the side that faces the MAF. Just a light uniform spray and rub it over with your hand afterwards to disperse it into the foam a little.

I swap the top of the spray with one from a paint spray can, gives a better, more uniform coverage
