Title: Edition 30 Rev C DV ==>> Rev D
Post by: E30Dom on June 04, 2011, 07:27:11 pm
If the Rev C DV on my Edition 30 looks OK, is there any benefit swapping to the RevD one?

Cheers,

Dom

The only benefit is that the D revision diverter valve wont split like the C revision one can.

So if it's not broke don't fix it?

Yeah had it off today to check which revision and the condition...  Is it a dealer only part or is there a known cheaper source...? Sure must be easier to remove without the engine cover on... ;-)

Its £40 odd from tps or £50 from dealer. If it isnt split and performance is fine, or your not remapped, then keep the cash in your pocket imo.

TPS in poole do not sell to the public. They only sell to trade with a trade purchase order now as a certain local car club has abused the discount system.

Pity that.  My local TPS centre say they have no issues to sell to the public as the the money is the same.  Pity that other centres are not as obliging as TPS Parts Lincoln in Newark.

It is  :sad1:

It doesnt affect people such as myself as I have a full trade account with them, but for those that wanted to pop in for a part that TPS keep though the dealers dont, they wont get served anymore.

That really is a bit crap. I once went to Poole VW to get an air filter and they didn't have any in stock so they directed me to TPS. Met a chap from TidyVAG down there who said there was a forum discount. Was it them that ruined it?

Twas the lovely TidyVAG mate

They went in there just expecting discount

Discount at TPS is a privilege for consumers, not a default proviso.

Thought it might have been them, all seem to think there above the rest, just cos they saved a scrapper, cut the coils and fitted the smallest wheels the could find...
