Title: Bling or not to bling?
Post by: Jussa on June 06, 2011, 11:09:12 pm
Guys,
Just had my twintercooler fitted today with red hoses
Don't see the point of the coloured hoses if you can't see them?
So my question is this...... I assume if you fit the open fog grilles you can then see the piping? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this?  :driver:

Advantages: You can see the red pipe

Disadvantages: You can see the red pipe

Personal preference is the only discussion point here as the open grills don't do anything by the way of cooling unless you run some venting out to the brakes!  :happy2:

Yes, but having them open, can that cause some possible damage internally to the pipes with stones etc?

Worth considering I suppose but highly unlikely IMO...........

The only real potential issue that I can see with the open grills is water getting to the electrical connectors of the horn and windscreen washer bottle.

....I had that problem with the OEM horn and OEM open grills but now I have vented carbon grills and Italian triple air horns
