Title: Brake lights staying on

it might do that when faulty, you need to try a working one if you can, there could be a dodgy earth somewhere maybe

Post by: Techie on March 15, 2009, 10:22:19 pm: The MK5 Golf doesn't use a brake light switch inside the car anymore. They have a hall effect switch on the master cylinder itself, they can give issue but not as common as the old pdeal mounted switch.

It on later cars for sure i'm certian but maybe not all models then. But they have moved the switch on the MK5 and Mk6 as its a pain in the arse.
