Title: What to look for
Post by: TFaz on June 12, 2011, 11:06:33 pm
Hi there,

My name is Tom and I will be buying a mk5 gti soon. Have always fancied a hot hatch and the mk5 GTI always gets rave reviews - and now finally gonna get one! Just wondered if there is anything in particular i need to look out for. Also I wondered if fuel wise, whether you would recommend using super unleaded?

Soon as I have one, will stick some pics on here!

Tom.

Hi mate, service history is a must, cam belt and water pump at 55k, good spec and colour really, what's your budget? I always use super in mine as they run a bit rough if you don't , especially if your going to tune it (of course you are  :signLOL:)
Welcome

Cheers mate for the advice!

My budget is about £9000. Have seen loads around for around that price, which is pretty good value considering what your getting. My Astra cost that what I brought it and that was only a 1.4!
