Sorry if this is a silly Q, does this mean the iPhone 5 is due for release soon? Any dates?

Looking forward to this.
Just set up my ATV yesterday, airplay is great.
Sold my iPad and have a iPad2 on order - mirroring FTW!!

Ifti is making me jelous - AGAIN! Although I did order the ATV2! :D

Anyway iOS is due to be released in 'Fall' USA time so hopefully later on this month or early August I suggest!

As for the new phone i.e. the 5th Generation iPhone rumors from 9to5mac (reliable source) say they think it could be here in September, makes sense to me as they not long ago released the white iPhone.

To answer Questions,

Official release of iOS 5 is set for the fall (Sep - Nov for us)

As iOS 5 is due a release then it is reasonable to assume the iPhone 4S/5 or whatever they call it will be released then too.

Why not just wait for the official release and not have any bugs or problems or is it just case of you want it now  :signLOL:

It's got some nice features and to be honest in a geeky kind of way it's nice to experiment  :stupid:

The bugs so far aren't bothering me too much so I'm happy to continue.

iPhone-

Sometimes i see the "join network" box pop up even when no wifi networks are present.

When I turned on the voice over function, the phone was almost unusable due to not responding to double taps. I had to restore it  :signLOL:

Same as vRStu it's still a great thing to have, I have only 1 bug and it's something I can cope with and that will not stop me using my phone, plus if people don't test it things will never get better :D

Yes. I like having things like this before 95% of the world gets it. I did the same with ios4 too, i had that ages before it was released. So far there appear to be very few bugs in ios5 which is good.

A few bugs that I have.

Ask to join networks
Sky News doesn't work on iPhone 4
Auto Stitch wont open on iPhone 4
Slow response sometimes to unlock.
Slow response when typing emails occasionally on iPad

But as with others I like to try stuff and some of the features are quite good. None of the glitches are show stoppers for me so I'll continue using it  :happy2:

iPhone -

Facebook - Can't seem to reply to wall posts.
Sky News - Cannot read individual New Stories.

iPad -

Safari - Crashes randomly

Those arent bugs. They are incompatibility issues. There just needs to be iOS 5 signed apps released.

Also dont think the latest dev seed of iOS 5 is even the gold master is it? So i personally would hold fire and just wait for all the super features when that is released.  :happy2:

Really looking forward to iOS5 and the next gen iPhone.

Yep, I asked this recently  - double press the home button.

I get the wireless popup
also a few delays when typing
apps crashing - like you guys say, probably down to compatibility.

Main thing I have noticed is battery life seems to be pants the last couple of days.
