Title: Adrian flux
Post by: no golf clubs at all on June 14, 2011, 08:52:06 am
Gotta laugh guys. Having recently removed abt sides, valance and quad  quad exhausts I contacted my insurer to advise them of the change. Stupidly I was expecting a refund albeit a small one......

It made no difference at all, guess I should be just happy they didn't charge me more to go back to stock.

Is this normal? How they can charge something like a ten percent percent premium to put them on and then take nothing off when I remove the perceived "risk" is quite incredible.

I'm surprised they didn't charge you an admin fee for answering the phone to you!!

Adrian Flux are truly useless. Won't ever go back to them, even if they were charging 50% less than everyone else.

Yep, useless is my view.  They wouldn't quote me for a Z4M Roadster so passed me to another company after just saying "hold on let me see if I can do something for you" ... total joke.  The bloke I ended up talking to was equally bemused. Definitely not bothering again.

I once had a ding in my car, reported it to them and they said they'd get back to me. Six months later I get a letter from them asking about the claim! I told them I'd got the car mended myself and I'm sure that was exactly what they were hoping to hear...

Having heard all this I'll move at renewal time. Don't know how many recommends I got on here a couple of years back when I moved to them.  Thankfully I have not needed their services, touches wood, mind you I did ask them to quote on a 911 c4s and a 135i and both quotes were quite frankly ridiculous and not from them.

aren't Greenlight a subsidiary of AF?

This is a big worry seeing as I only started my policy with them on the 8th of this month  :scared:
Are there no good stories to tell then?
I actually have to call them up probably in about 3 weeks to tell them I have a fixed penalty 3 points to add to my clean licence, do u reckon my premium will go up?  :surprised:
Also, I've declared all my mods but forgot my LED tail lights, should I mention them?  :sad1:

Well i have been with AF for nearly 3 years now.

When i owned my previous vRS i had the windscreen replaced twice within a month due to stone chips. This was sorted both times with no fuss whatsoever (I only paid the £50 screen excess) They have only ever been too happy to help when i have phoned them and they quoted me the cheapest for my new vRS with all intended mods declared already.

@ Jussa - 3 Points will aput your premium up. i would be surprised if it didn't

Do u reckon it will go up straight away or when renewal time comes around?  :scared:

The thing is AF are only the broker and there have been some important changes in the background.

Most people will have ended up with Highway if you ran a modified car and after their move to LV it seems as if what service there once was has gone downhill.  :sad1:

I know mine is underwritten Equity Red Star. Might be worth trying them direct

I have no problems with Adrian Flux. By far the cheapest for a cheap policy on my track car, as i had no extra NCB to use on a 2nd car.

I was with AF for my subaru, had no problems at all, even with all my mods declared.  :happy2:
