With photo editing software when you don't have a clue what your doing can occasionally end up with a nice result !

That's quite nice :congrats:. So often people over-egg it via software effects and it looks totally false - which can be appropriate for something like a forum sig but not as portrait shots, in my opinion.
I feel the same about those overdone landscape photos with brown skies etc etc.
