Is a sad day, I worked there for 3 1/2 years untill November last year, building the Nimrod. The money that had been wasted is criminal :fighting:

Everywhere you look back home the goverment wastes money.

Over here money always goes into the local community; most people buy German cars, supermarket produce is mostly sourced from local farms, recycling is massive, lots of fayres and festivals that put money into local bussinesses, every where I lok I see reasons why this country seems to work better than back home

My college lecturer was a project manager for the Nimrod when it was being designed. He gets very annoyed everytime he hears about them retiring and the factory shutting down. The end of some great British engineering.
