Is there any difference between the GTI and ED30 downpipes? The reason I ask is that I am currently Shark stage 1 with my octy on the standard downpipe with the precat removed. I was after a bit more power and going to go for stage 2. Would I be able to run a stage 2 file as I am because I dont think there is any difference in downpipes and the ED30 runs much higher BHP with the standard downpipe on a stage 1 map.
Eventually I am going to fit the K04 turbo, S3 injectors and DV relocation but am just after a bit extra in the mean time. Any help or advice would be apprecieated?

As said the DP's are the same, the reason the ED30 is more powerful is the K04 fitted from factory.....
How much difference has the precat removal made?

It picks up a lot quicker and I am getting on average 5mpg (trip) more since removing the pre cat. The engine holds the power for longer and it just runs so much easier than it did before. The exhaust sounds more throaty and I also get more spool up noise, which is always a bonus
