I got 26.7 this morning... How did everyone else do!? :jumpmove:
-
After relising that my front tyres don't work in the wet I took it steady and managed 37.4 mpg. All A-roads 20miles.
-
24.1 :signLOL: traffic galore
Sooner I get my mk2 gti back on the road the better. 39.4 last time I took it on the same run :rolleye:
-
25mile windy roads normally 32avg but since renewing my plugs cant get near 30 :surprised:
-
32 from 20 miles of A roads

-
41.3 mpg this morning! 26miles of A roads... :-)
You disgust me
:signLOL:
-
30-32 over a 7 mile stretch. Steady 70-75 in traffic. 36.7 at similar speeds on a long run to Northampton (SteveP) verified. Can't go faster than the traffic flow.
-
52.7mpg this morning...for the work crawl..
24 mile round trip..
left the Ed30 at home..... Till later when the roads got quieter
-
That doesnt count steve
-
12.5miles each way. Never less than 29mpg, been consistently at 34mpg of late with a couple of stretches giving it beans on the Turbo.
In the winter, it's a different story :scared:
-
I get 38 or 39mpg on the way to work in the mornings! Its 11 miles of mostly downhill motorway at 40/45 mph in moving traffic. :innocent:
The way home I see 23 to 24mpg! Its up hill, but i like to get home quickly
-
12 miles of stop start annoying traffic crawling, got up to 26.4 by the time I got home, was at 17 most of the way. :chicken:
-
steves count and so does mine in my van i got 45mpg haha. Doesnt say anywhere about the mpg being in my gti lol :popcornsoda:
-
27mpg average over 25miles (10 traffic and 15 A roads) best ever was 35mpg
-
67mpg average - 7 miles through London, then 22 miles on the M4 to Slough, but in the missus Nissan Note 1.5 Dci
-
I got 34mpg on an easy paced 22mile journey this morning :driver:
-
Current commute is 13 miles each way. If I take the motorway, I can get 30mpg on the way to work, and 30-33mpg on the way back. But there's usually 50/60mph restrictions along the whole way.
If I take the A-road, I struggle to better 27mpg and sometimes make 22mpg.
-
25.3mpg 6 miles stop start with 5 mins of on off motorway.
Can improve with no aircon, heated seats, subwoofer left in garage and a judicious use of cruise control on longer stretches of road.
Often thought about taking a longer route to work utilising the motorway more and allowing cruise control most of the way to see if it made any real difference
-
26-28 mpg 12 miles
-
The Missus generally gets about 28mpg, 8 miles of a mix of either windy B roads or M/way and town driving.
I generally use about 0.05mm of shoe leather. :happy2:
-
24.3 this morning!!!! :star:
-
24 mpg for me too - thats 11 miles each way to work on A roads with the occasional overtake
-
5 miles each way ~ 22mpg!
Doing my bit for the environment
-
Wife gets 34-38 every day 12 miles of a/b roads :happy2:
-
21.1 on the way to work today :driver:
-
21.3 this morning!! :jumpmove:
-
17 miles mostly motorway doing about 70mph 32-33mpg not bad!!
-
i walked to work which takes 5 min where my car is parked
-
45 mpg in a 1.9 tdi about 7 miles to work. no motorway, there is a 3 mile stretch of straight 50 roads. my mpg is sh*t atm :( heat makes it worse :S
The other week on full WOT in second, instantaneous readout at 9mpg

-
I'm getting a regular 38mpg (measured) with the warmer weather.
One way I have seen 42mpg on the trip computer (for a 44 mile journey)
