Title: iPod armrest with aftermarket head unit

Hi All,

I have the armrest iPod dock in my car and have an aftermarket JVC head unit fitted.  Does anyone know if there is a way to connect the cable from the armrest into the headunit for full iPod control or is it just a VW specific connector that will only go into the back of the VW standard headunits.  At the mo I have the cable running to the little cubby hole next to the steering wheel but if I can get it going into the armrest then that would be pretty cool, certainly not essential.

The armrest dock is VW specific im afraid. You might be able to modify the dock to make it work with your headunit by changing the cabling over, but it wouldnt be easy
