Hi guys, just interested to hear from those who are running the TT wishbones with -2 degrees or more of negative camber?
Is the extra grip on turn in noticeable? Have you noticed that your tyres are looking a bit shoddy or is the effect not too bad on the rubber?
I have got the arms on but have not yet been to see Tony WIM to have them set with negative camber yet.
Cheers

Check out the thread lower down
In short, yes you need front camber to dail out understear and more than just TT arms, they alsonadd track which has an impact
Tyre wear should not be a major issue at 2 degrees (stock cars have over 1.5 at the back)
If they are on the car they will be over 1.5 degrees, possibly nearer 2 with lowered ride height. I assume you have set the geometry following fitment ?

yeah the geometry was set but only as per the Gti factory specification as I was unable to take the car in myself and my father in law did not insist on the -2 degrees camber at the front.
i am running oem suspension at moment but with Eibach arb's and walk with the tt arms.
Cant see me geeting it lowered soon as other things taking priority so want to get the most out of the arb's/tt lower arms

Front amber isn't adjustable on the gti. Itsnfixed. You need the tt arms for adjustable camber

hi sy i have the arms fitted - they have just not been set up yet with the -2 degrees.
i took it to a WIM trained alignment place but they simply poo pooed the negative camber and said i would scrub the front tyres? was going to speak to Tony about it direct or would take it to BDM if nearer..

Andy, post the alignment report.
The minimum camber with TT arms and lowering springs should be about - 1°30'.
So this is more than with stock GTI arms and undesteer should be decreased.
Don't worry about tyre wear with - 1°30' - -2°. There won't be any issue.
