Title: Getting rid of the fried egg indicator look,

Has anyone tried this with the mk5, I understand for the front halogen light it is just a case of swapping the bulbs to silvertec ones, but the rears have filter in them.
Has anyone successfully removed the filters?

I believe the only other way to do it is buy US spec rear light the all the lenses come clear but seems a little excessive

Any Ideas?

On the rear the orange is actually part of the indicator :(

Possibly the same design as the rear fog where it can be separated, I now have 2 clear inner light thanks to buying a spare set.
