Hi
I have just spoken to TPS to price up a cambelt kit and waterpump and they have informed me that they don't do a cambelt kit.
He told me you have to buy the parts seperately which isn't a problem but he told me that I only need the belt and a tensioner.
Is this all I need?
Thanks
Dan

I seem to remember the kit comprised of the Belt, and the two rollers (one Idler and one that attaches to the tensioner). Surprised there is not a kit. Will have a look when I get home.
-
The kit is the same as the GTI one. For some reason ETKA lists the bits seperately. The Cambelt kit part number is 06F 198 119 B or A. Not at work at the moment so notr 100% sure which one it is but, its one of the 2 :happy2:

The guy at TPS told me that the tensioner was BYD specific, is this true?
-
Not that I know off!? I used the kit in my car and all is good and well

Ok thanks!
Has anyone else fitted the cambelt kit for a normal GTI or does anyone have an invoice from VW with a part number for the cambelt kit?
I just want to make sure I fit the correct parts.
Thanks

06F 198 119 A is the kit for the AXX engine 06 GTI. Consists of below.

The only difference I can see for a BYD (Ed 30) engine is the Tensioner roller is
06D 109 243 C

The cambelt kit is also the same as the S3 one!
-
Can anyone tell me if i have a complete kit here?
Thanks;
Its for BWJ TFSI Cupra

Looks right. What is part number on the belt?
-
06D 109 119 B , Me thinks
The AUX Belt is a shorter one to bypass the Air Con Compressor. (not pictured)
-
Should be spot on then.
