Yup. You could make an entirely different section. You could change it so the address was mk5golftdi. You could even host it on your own server, use your own colour scheme and talk about nothing other than tdi. Fasthosts even has a discount running at the moment!

I suggest, but may be wrong, that such a division may tend to separate us all as a community and one big happy family. For example, I never visit the Mk6 sister site which is just a click away but I enjoy contact with those who have Mk6's and even diseasals.

....I don't have a problem with diesel owners - I just wouldn't ever buy one for myself. I appreciate and like many of the mods the diesel guys n gals do and don't want to make a special trip to see them on the site.

These posts always make me laugh, just start a thread and talk about all your diesel problems and chit chat, and wallah! you have your own section. a thread is exactly the same as a section look at Vag babes and the F1 thread. :stupid:

Why would we want a section for diesel cars when there was never a MK5 GTI made with a diesel engine? Kinda defeats the object of the forum?!
That's not to say that diesel owners aren't welcome at all, but having a separate section puts out the wrong message IMO.
