I had the K03 Neuspeed turbo discharge adapter on my k03 gti and thought is was a worthwhile upgrade. I now have an ed30 and wanted to buy the k04 version of the Neuspeed turbo discharge adapter, but at £270 I thought it was a bit steep considering I already had one for a k03.
I thought right, let’s see what the difference is so I whipped of the adapter and at first glance I thought no chance of that fitting.
After measuring up I realised it would fit with a bit of simple machining. I gave my dimensions and the adapter to an engineering company, got it back and installed it... It fits!
Original
The turbo side is machined back to 35mm then the hole on the turbo side is bored out to 44mm

Anyone know what spinko means?
They probably supplied that aluminium part.

It's not entirely clear to me what alterations were made to your adapter to allow you to fit it on a k04.

Yup, I reckon that's it. :happy2:
Forgot to put that bit in... the turbo side is machined back to 35mm then the hole on the turbo side is bored out from 38mm to 44mm (see top photo)

Neuspeed may have traded them straight across for you. They traded my throttle inlet tube from the sound pipe delete version to the sound pipe retained version for me when I put my K04 in and needed the latter version for the dv relocate. They were very kind in that respect. Although shipping may be more $ than the work you had done for yours.

Pics aren't working :(
Can I ask what te cost of the engineering / modification was? Thanks

Some pics back up.
Cost about £30 to get modified, very easy for any decent engineering firm to do.
