Title: Edition 30 gets Gtechniq'd!
Post by: keano on July 03, 2011, 12:59:38 pm
Hi guys,

Thought I'd post up a few pictures from the detail I did yesterday.

I only used one polish and one pad:

The remainder of (it was spilt on delivery  :fighting: )Gtechniq P1 + a yellow 3m pad.

I can't stress enough how AWESOME p1 is! The paint is bloody perfect and It must have cut the time down to do the car by half!

There's no faffing around swapping pads and deciding which compound to use at all! :happy2: :happy2: :happy2:

I finished off with Wolf's Chemicals Body Wrap which just brings out the shine even more :D

Not had chance to see it bead yet, but I'm doing a rain dance as I type!

Very impressive. I'm very tempted by the G-techniq range especially as the sealant is supposed to last a long time.

How much cut did you get with the P1 - What I mean is how bad/deep were the swirls etc?

Have you used anything else to compare it against?

I've used Menzerna on my GTi and want something with a bit more cut to use on my Audi that has a couple of slightly deeper scratches  :ashamed: and P1 is one I've read about on detailing world with some interest

I have the menzerna range and don't get on with it myself. It takes too long and the range is confusing and overly expensive. In my opinion.

I've also used the poor boys polishes from the ssr1 to ssr2.5 and this is a trillion times better.

My swirls were probably a 4/10 on the scale, but they still looked pretty shocking.

Take a look at this website, and watch the videos of the p1 in use. You'd be a dafty not to buy it

ps. how are you applying it? Rotary or Da?

http://gtechniq.com/shop/3s-for-cars/polishing/p1-nanocomposite-polish/

pps. Buy from www.cleanyourcar.co.uk, its way cheaper  :happy2:

Lovely looking ED30 - would you consider wrapping the lower spoilers on front and rear bumpers in matt black? I think that looks improves the car brilliantly!!
