Think I have a mechatronics problem...sometimes lurches forward from neutral into first....Is this because im to eager to set off? because if I engage D and wait a few seconds I can usually set off fine...but if I engage D and then come the brake and onto gas (not really quickly) it bunny hops? like it's going to stall?
If I do have to get a checked I have a REVO stage1 and DSG map....??
Help very much appreciatted

Manufactures warranty only warrants the car as Volkswagen intended unfortunately :fighting:

How old is the eddy? 57/early 08 plate?
if you have warranty from where you purchased the car, mech's needs changing.
Unsure about your Revo setup, though you've lost your stock remap you had, Revo will replace it with a mock version..
Though very much doubt it will make much difference to whether they will cover it or not.

July 08 it is??
So they do need Changing :surprised:
Do you reccomend just taking it and getting it checked anyway?? Will they see it is remapped? Jase :happy2:

if its from a main dealers then you will get problems
they will check for software updates for the box itself and the measured values will show the dsg map
were will you take the car?

Hey.
I was just going to take it to my local Volkswagen dealer in Northallerton N yorks...Or to where I bought it from in Mansfield? I wish I had noticed the problem before the map....one downside to mapping it to soon I guess....Is it only main dealers who can carry out warranty work? Maybe I could play dumb? seeing as I only bought it in June? or would they have checked that when they took it in? Help is much appreciated thanks.

I guess it more comes down to the tech that will work on the car, he/she may just road test the car and say there is a fault evident and the box is jumpy
Or he/she may look for software updates for the box and whilst checking for the updates the map may shop up in measured values :fighting:
My 2p's worth would be to try.....the dealer wants the money from the warranty claim so it's worth a shot! After all.......you've only just bought the car :happy2:

This has got me worried. Mine sometimes slightly lurches when setting off or reversing. Not with normal driving, just manoeuvring etc., so the gearbox has just been put into gear. Not trying to hijack your thread but does this sound bad? It's booked in for a dsg service next Tuesday, but I don't have a warranty, can see this costing quite a bit

just because its in for a dsg service wouldn't have thought they'd check the mech unit. Just change the oil and filter and do the basic settings.
Mine is an 08 car and had a new mech unit last year. Seems to me like its starting to develop similar symptoms again though.

Not true, ALL revo dealers have access to all complete factory stock files. Your REVO dealer can flash back both a factory stock file to the DSG ecu and engine ECU.
The issue with REVO reverting to a non factory 'revo version of stock' is only after a 5 hour trial expires.
