Title: de-resonate

Just bought myself 08 golf gti and want to delete the resornator,but its only don 6k and dont wanna chop the exhaust up,which section of the exhaust will i need to buy off a donor to do this operation ????  :happy2:

With the normal resonated system there is a silencer in the middle section.

If you have a standard oem exhaust then you can get an exhaust shop to delete the middle silencer and replace it with a straight through pipe as the catback section is one piece.

I deleted my centre section cost me £70! But i didnt notice much diff? save the money and buy an induction kit

I did a reso-delete long before I did a turbo-back. I did it for sound improvement only. The shop made a piece of pipe to fit where the reso was, for $65usd. A relatively cheap mod, and the sound improved enough to keep me happy until I started doing the "real" mods two years later.
