Has anybody got any close up pics of where they have located their BSH catch can. I;m trying to fit one and its a tight squeeze in by the washer fluid bottle, air con line etc , I can get it in just about but I am trying to think about emptying insitu which looks nearly impossible.
PS
it needs to go that side as I have an intake.

You have to remove the can to drain it.

That's where I've put it. Was just hoping it could be emptied insitu.

.
When I had a BSH I located it here: (or should I more correctly say that QD located it there for me)

I now have the Forge Catch Tank and a Forge Twintake.
-
I'd would have rather it there also but have a restriction in the way of the ITG intake.
-
^
I had the same restriction when I got the Forge Twintake of course.

This dilemna can be solved easily.
The space made by putting a super lightweight battery in the boot will be more than enough to fit your catch can.
:innocent:

....Yes, but then you need to buy and rig up a battery charger in your garage. The slippery slope of modding, eh?

What's a catchcan and a twintake? :o)

Yes it is :o)
I've been big into vw's for 17 years only owning golfs, my current Gti is my first mk5 and they are so different to any of the other mk's so asking lots of questions :o)
Apologies for the abundance of daft question :o)

I have a redtop 25 which I installed just so I could fit my catch can and also to aid weight saving. My car is parked up all week and has never failed to start first time. No probs with loosing charge.

That's reassuring to read about the batteries. Those lightweight jobbies have usually had the reputation of needing regular charging.
