Title: Check coolant ?

Hey guys after a 300 mile journey yesterday, got into my car today and she started no problems, but on the dash came up a warning "STOP" then "check coolant see owners manual" (whilst beeping),had a look at the coolant and it was fine between the min and max, turned car of the on again but this time no warning, went for a short drive stopped and started again no problems ? Was it just a 1 off or is this the start of something Waterpump ???. Car is sep 2007 gti 32000 miles

Then I'd imagine it's the sensor. A few others seem to have had the problem. Do a search and you should be able to see the threads. One of them has a part number for the sensor.

If.the car hasn't lost any coolant,it probs will be the sensor in the the coolant bottle

Yeah as others have said it will be the sensor so its nothing major.

Thanks guys just an up-date, they replaced the coolant bottle (under warranty) so all good :)
