Been lurking on many forums, but find this the most interesting and knowledgable, had a gti in 2005, basic steel grey 3 door, changed for an r32 (dsg full spec) in late 2006 and have had this as well since march 2006, as you may have guessed i do like mk5 golfs,
since it is no longer within warranty i have decided to start modifying with a tendency towards all oem parts, here are a couple of pics, feed back would be appreciated, and before i have numerous guys telling me i need it lower, "I Agree"

looking good so far matey!! :happy2:
nice, R32 brakes all round, are the monzas original or reps, they look mint in that colour
id get the rear lights tinted or replace them with R32 ones,
oh and you need to go lower :signLOL:
-
Thanks
Monzas are original, bought individually from ebay and refurbed by my own fair hands, in an anthracite color similar to that of the original insets, 32 brakes installed 2 weeks ago, Loving Them
See what you mean about the tails, didnt think they looked that bad until you have pointed them out
Think your right - need to go lower
-
The .:R32 tails are tinted alot darker, and i agree it would suit the car to swap over them.
i would also look to colour coding your plastics? of the gti's i've seen i like that mod speshly on a black car
..welcome btw :happy2:
and don't worry, we ALL need to go lower
(you might want to resize that sig too)

Other than the brakes, how would anyone else identify it as an R32? Or is that the point?

Thanks for your comments guys, trying to pick the best bits from the golf models and create what i feel VW should have done with a special edition Oil Burner!
My 32 was by far my favourite, and i regret the day i sold it! However as an everyday workhorse i cannot fault this oil burner, already chipped to 180 (puts out a bit smoke though under hard acceleration) just miss that exotic burble from the exhaust, hopefully have a pleasing sound coming from this fella shortly after i install a custom system from the turbo backover, with a 32 rear end on show, the guys at AAS in newcastle upon tyne are making it for me in around 6 weeks

Welcome...
Tidy vehicle! :happy2:

It's a GTI Stealth :happy2:
Lol thanks for that!
Read something about having an R32 but didn't see where he bought a GTI/year/model etc and thought he'd modded an R32 into a GTI-look-alike.
