Title: Volkswagen discount
Post by: MaverickFSI on July 10, 2011, 06:54:55 pm: I just thought I'd mention that through a local VW enthusiast club where I live I benefit from sizable dealer discounts. They range from 5%-40% depending on what the part it is of course.

Example; Spoke to the parts department last Saturday about Xenon headlights for my soon to be Ed30, normally he quoted in the region of £350 per headlight, with my discount I got them down to just under £200 per headlight.

If anyone needs OE stuff but doesn't get discount at their local dealer, feel free to give me a shout and I could get a price for you. All I'd ask of you is to cover the postage. Invoices will be sent with parts as proof of amount paid.

In the short time I've been a member on here I have been some what overwhelmed by the amount of help and advice I have received, fantastic bunch, really are!

This is my sort of contribution to the Mk5 owners and hopefully many of you can benefit :happy2:

I agree TPS are very good. However, the discount I get is at the dealers. So I use them more as with my discount parts tend to be cheaper.

Parts numbers 1K6 941 039 A & 1K6 941 040 A (for left & right side respectively)

Normal price 245.75 + VAT

Discount price 181.86 + VAT

To my knowledge that is for the whole unit. If you are upgrading to Xenon I would strongly encourage you check to see if you need anything else to cater for this up grade.

the part numbers listed for the headlights are for the whole lamp cluster with bulb. As far as i can see you also need 2x controllers 1T0 907 391 at £266+vat?

anyone confirm??

Pete has already priced up the spoiler and insert (above) this is the same price as TPS so should be a bit cheaper with his discount! :happy2:

Could I ask favour? If your interested in parts from VW could you please find me good part numbers for the stuff you want pricing up as it makes my life a lot easier when I enquire. I see a lot of you do this anyway, but if we get some sort of formality going it may help others with finding out prices, I only say this as a lot of people are PM'ing me with the same requests, so what I might start to do is create a long list of parts with their discounted price so everyone can see.

Yes please, along with 4 coil packs. Unfortunately I have no way of confirming the part numbers.
