I had brembo 4 pots on my Pug 406 Coupe and it stopped on a six pence.  Are you talking caliper upgrades or just replacement discs?

V6 one?

I had those very same brakes on my 600kg Citroen AX VTS track day car ;) Was outbraking caterhams into the corners ;)

Replacement pads and discs
I have brembo discs on the front of mine which are direct OEM replacement, it doesn't stop any better than factory imho, can't comment on the pads but a lot of members have Ferodo DS2000 pads and swear by them.
