Yes, KW-V3's are excellent, as are the Bilstein equivalent.
Mine are VWR-KW-V3's - Bespoke, having specific spring-rating and slightly longer springs etc and very expertly setup by Mark at VWR/RL with corner-weighting as well as alignment and camber - £1,500 as near as damnit.
I think you'll find the KW-V3's hard but not at all harsh and with excellent tactile feel.
I recommend fitting the WALK's while you are at it - Link: Whiteline Anti Lift Kit Review (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=395.0)

To be honest I think the KW V3 should me enough for me on there own! I had the Bilstein's on my R32 and liked them a lot but reading reviews the KW seem to be what I am looking for!
Cheers John

....The truth is that I'm one of those guys who always wants to have the best of anything that's available and so my VWR-KW-V3's are in some ways overkill. However, I don't have a clue how to do a suspension setup and VWR most certainly do!
The WALK's are a subtle but good mod, but the money adds up far too easily doesn't it!
:happy2: 8) :happy2:

Nousey mate, keep meaning to ask - where do you get the mechanical mods done? Or do you do it all yourself?
-
u cant go wrong with free fitting as i did mine myself so it was free minus some of my skin on my hands :rolleye:

I normally fit my own but with V3 I want to get them setup proper so leaving it to the experts!
-
that's y I am glad mine had been setup before on another car
