Title: Anyone in the Westham, East Sussex area with VAG-Com and a good eye for bodywork

Looking to see if anyone in the area could view and scan a Golf for codes or accident damage etc, happy to pay for your time and fuel.
I’m just south of Glasgow so it’s a good 8 hour drive each way..........

Any help would be gratefully received.  :notworthy:

Have a look at our VCDS register thread. It will tell you who's in the area & you can pm them perhaps

Alternatively you could take it to a VW dealer who could check the car over for you.

NHN is listed as being in that area so I'll send him a PM shortly to see if he would be available.

The seller is going to send additional pictures tonight; I said that as soon as I receive them I'll give him a call.
I'll ask if he would be prepared to take the car into the local VW dealer for a check over but if it is the dealer he has used then they may only tell me part of the story......
"If" I could get someone local to the area and without knowing the seller then I would hope to get a more unbiased view (hopefully!).
If it appeared to be a good example then it would be worth the drive or possibly arrange flights to view.
