Sorry tried searching for the threads read a while ago about cleaning up the headlights, but can't find them now, mine are particularly perished and just wondered if theres a quick fix? I've seen the all day wet n dry process but i'm sure I saw a thread about someone getting them as good as new using Autosol metal polish, can anyone verify this before I have a go and ruin them completely??????

Any polish will help spruce them up. You just need to keep the temperature down.

I used autosol metal polish. Really made a big difference. Nervous at the start as it was really gritty polish but results were amzing. All scratches removed with a few hits and makes them extreamly clear. Definilty worth a go. WOuld recommend trying a little patch first to see what you think.

I see Megs have a headlight restoration product out now , has anyone used it?

I haven't used the new Meguair's restoration kit but do use their Plast-X product. It does work quite well applied by hand, but from experience I would say it works a whole lot better if you use a dual action polisher to apply it (whilst being careful to keep the speed and temperature down). I then apply a little bit every other wash or so as a top up if it needs it.

I've heard toothpaste is quite effective :chicken:
